Diane Petillo began her legal career litigating federal civil rights, personal injury, and medical malpractice cases as both Plaintiff and Defendant. Ms. Petillo has a wealth of accomplishments and experience litigating as a Defense Attorney, focusing on complex medical malpractice litigation, representing hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses, nurse’s aides, and physician assistants. Prior to focusing on medical malpractice, Ms. Petillo worked as Deputy County Attorney for the Nassau County Attorney’s Office where she was trial counsel. As trial counsel, she represented police officers, corrections officers, and District Attorneys in both State and Federal Courts involving alleged civil rights violations. Ms. Petillo received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from Queens College and her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law.
